FIGHTING FOR SENIORS & THOSE MOST IN NEED:
As Vice Chair of the County’s Health & Human Services Committee, I am proud of my accomplishments during my 1st term on the DuPage County Board:
A) Initiated enactment and monies toward a 2-1-1 phone system for our residents in need. This is a 24/7/365 phone number that residents can call to obtain social service assistance. This will be kicking off next month and will most certainly help save lives.
B) Increasing staffing and salaries for the DuPage Care Center Staff. It’s vitally important to take care of those who take care of our most vulnerable population.
C) Supporting renovation to the DuPage Care Center building. The DuPage Care Center houses hundreds of our aging population and hasn’t been updated in 40 years.
D) Supporting more staff and better pay for the Veteran’s Assistance Committee to take care of our aging Veterans and their spouses
